Ten years ago, I struggled with my relationship with food, going through constant cycles of restricting and binging that broke my self-esteem. Like many others, I gained 25+ pounds in college and became uncomfortable in my skin and hid myself behind baggy clothes. I tried every fad diet—low carb, keto, —which worked temporarily but resulted in a vicious cycle of low energy and yo-yo dieting. I felt completely out of control around food, and no amount of cardio could compensate for my weekend benders of pizza and drinking.
But everything changed when I discovered strength training. My relationship with my body and food began to transform. Instead of wanting to be skinny, I wanted to be strong and set new PRs. Instead of fearing food, I saw it as fuel for my workouts. And through discipline and structure, I gained a confidence that finally set me free.
I have competed in several WRPF powerlifting competitions, one of which I temporarily held a CA state deadlift record for the 60kg weight class. I’ve done a bodybuilding prep, Crossfit style training, as well as yoga throughout the years. And through my experiences, I’ve consolidated all aspects of what I’ve loved and what I’ve disliked about each to create the Elite Woman program here at Propensity Fitness.
While aesthetics can boost your confidence, strength and conditioning can make you feel limitless, and yoga can spiritually ground you, it’s rare to find a coach or program that can do all three. At Propensity Fitness, our Elite Woman program integrates all these elements into one comprehensive approach. We don't just focus on how you look—we build your physical strength, mental resilience, and spiritual wellness simultaneously.
This holistic method has helped over 300 men and women transform their relationship with fitness and themselves. Our clients don't just change physically—they discover a confidence that permeates every aspect of their lives.
I created Propensity Fitness because I needed this balanced approach in my own journey, and I couldn't find it elsewhere. Now, my incredible team and I are dedicated to guiding you through your transformation with personalized training, nutrition guidance, and accountability.
Fitness has been woven into the fabric of my life since childhood. For 15 years, soccer instilled in me the discipline and competitive spirit that defines my approach today. When my sports career ended in college, I found myself lost amid fitness misinformation and body image pressures. I fell into extreme fitness – punishing myself with multiple daily HIIT workouts, endless treadmill sessions, and restrictive eating patterns that had me counting every calorie and fearing certain food groups. The cycle was relentless – overtraining, undereating, binging, overwhelming guilt, then doubling down on restriction as punishment. I believed transformation required suffering and complexity.
Everything changed when I discovered strength training and proper nutrition. The weight room offered a new perspective that resonated with the athlete in me – building strength gradually and tracking progress rather than obsessing over the scale. I educated myself about nutrition beyond calorie counting, learning how macronutrients support recovery, performance, and body composition. Shifting from restriction to nourishment transformed everything. The gym became my sanctuary where I celebrated what my body could do rather than criticizing how it looked.
My personal transformation inspired me to help others avoid the fitness traps I'd fallen into. In college, I began coaching at F45, where I discovered my talent for connecting with clients and guiding them toward sustainable fitness approaches. This led me to earning my NASM CPT certification and becoming a Level 1 Nutrition Coach. My coaching evolution continued as I transitioned from group fitness to 1:1 in-person training, and ultimately to online coaching—each step deepening my expertise and ability to create individualized solutions.
My personal coaching perspective centers on how the human body naturally moves and functions. I learned through personal experience that single-plane training, like traditional bodybuilding without proper mobility work, can lead to injury and limitation. This realization sparked my passion for functional movement and mobility training. I'm currently pursuing Physical Therapy School to better serve clients who fear movement due to pain or uncertainty and reclaim the activities they once enjoyed. When performed correctly, movement truly is medicine, and I strive to create a safe space for this healing to occur.
My mission at Propensity Fitness is to show you what's possible. There is a path to living a fulfilled life in a body that feels strong, capable, and confident. You are not broken, and you are not alone – together, we'll discover the approach that works uniquely for you.
I started my fitness journey a bit unconventionally. Growing up, I was always active—playing sports and staying busy. However, in college—like many of us—my main "sport" became partying, which continued into my early-to-mid 20s. Working in restaurants didn't help, with late nights after work spent hanging out with friends.
A bit funny, but until I met my partner, my health and fitness remained on the back burner. Even though I didn't feel great in my body or move like I used to, being active wasn't a huge priority beyond the occasional hike.
About 7 years ago, I started going to the gym but confined myself to the cardio area. I was afraid to venture into the weight section for two reasons: I had no idea what I should be doing or how to perform movements, and my ego prevented me from being seen lifting "light weights" and feeling embarrassed. I found a local trainer and began training with her twice weekly at her home gym. I gained confidence in my lifts but still wandered into the gym without a real plan. During this time, I was into the #nodaysoff between lifting and running. I saw some changes in my body but still lacked balance with lifting, nutrition and overall lifestyle.
Six years ago, everything changed when I connected with Yomo on Instagram and began working with her one-on-one. My approach to and confidence with fitness and nutrition transformed completely. I learned how to properly move and eat for my body in ways that felt good for me, while also working heavily on mindset and becoming more woo-woo. I immediately noticed changes—and surprisingly, while I thought I wanted to "lose weight," what I really needed was body recomposition or even to gain weight to build the physique I wanted!
When Yomo posted about hiring an AC, I immediately responded despite having no certifications. She encouraged me to get certified and then discuss opportunities. I became NASM and Precision Nutrition certified but realized that while I love chatting all things health and fitness, I prefer working behind the scenes setting up systems and supporting the team.
This isn't just about confidence or aesthetics—it's about longevity. For me, it's about being able to move and feel my best with my nieces and nephews 20 years from now. No matter what your reason is to get started, lean into that and use it to inspire your own journey. At Propensity Fitness, we provide a truly personalized approach based on where you are and where you could be. We're here to support you through life's ebbs and flows, holding you accountable to become the Elite Woman you aspire to be.
